A Christmas Carol
To see ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Harn Homestead was a special time. It was live outdoors and was fantastic. As a member of the audience it felt as though we were involved.
Highly recommend going this year as it may be the last outside rendition. Bundle up.

Very lovely place
Very lovely place to step back into time! I remember coming here as a child on a field trip and now as an adult with my homeschooled children. Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable on their history of the Harn family and the plantation. Recommend this for anyone.

Beautiful venue
Beautiful venue in the heart of OKC! Very picturesque and rustic. We attended my brother in law’s memorial here and it was the perfect place to have a celebration of life party.

Perfect wedding
Sons wedding is still being talked about as to just how beautiful the surroundings made for a picture perfect wedding. Nestled amongst the hustle of downtown OKC is a treasure of the past.
It was a bittersweet afternoon. We said βsee you laterβ to our longtime Executive Director, Melessa Lawson Gregg. We may not see her in the office every day, but we will see her! The Harn Homestead is a hard place to stay away from. ... See MoreSee Less

Congratulations Melissa! You have accomplished great things. Your next endeavor will be so blessed to have you.
Congratulations Melessa! You will be very missed. You have done such an amazing job for The Harn Homestead Museum for so many years! I want to personally thank you for being such a wonderful partner, therapist and friend to me through the years! The board, organization and OKC are in a better place thanks to you!
So sorry we couldn’t be there to celebrate all that you have done at the Harn! Wishing you all the best in your new endeavor!

To our dear friends and followers. For the past 16 years it has been my privilege to act in the roles of Intern, Docent, Collections Manager, Education Director, and ultimately, Executive Director. Whether I have taught you or your children in one of our historic buildings, taken you on a Harn House tour, submitted a grant to your foundation, or welcomed you happily to our Homestead Social; I have done all of it in support of the Harn Homestead and its mission "to preserve the historic homestead and to educate the public about the territorial years of Oklahoma". And I hope that's what I have shared with each of you.
Today, I taught that one-room Schoolhouse for one last time, and next Thursday will be my last day at the Harn Homestead. This was my first job after several years of staying home with my children, and it was wonderful to see them grow up on this property! I will be moving on to a new position in my home community of Norman. I know I will enjoy the short commute, but how I will miss being here everyday and sharing William and Alice Harn's story with all of you! I know that I leave this place in the capable hands of Mr. David, Miss Kelly, and Miss Diane. And I am grateful.
With loving thanks,
Melessa Gregg
